Last week, I was in the Valley to present at the Under the Radar conference. You can check out the presentation here. Big thanks to the team at Dealmaker Media for having us and congrats on a well-run event.
Among the presentations I saw, the following fellow startups caught my attention. The event having 2 separate tracks, I missed AppDirect’s presentation but heard good things from it.
We especially loved PhoneGap’s “mullet” business model: Business up front, Party in the back! Next time we prototype mobile apps, we know which platform we’ll do it with.
Versly is taking a fresh approach to document collaboration by putting it right in the tool most people use to create those documents: Microsoft Office. Versly also syncs document changes to the cloud, merges edits and archives file versions so everyone remains, quite literally, on the same page when collaborating. They also integrate well with email and we do have a weakness for apps that have email integration. We shared a couple interesting ideas to take that integration further.
I’ve already signed up for the private beta, and as I click back and forth between myriad of documents and interfaces, I’m looking forward to digging in!
