A new week, and lots of updates from us!
Vote for our SXSW Panel!
First of all, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been invited to join a stellar team submitting a panel discussion idea for 2012’s SXSW Interactive Conference in Austin, Texas. Along with Kevin Marks (VP Open Cloud Standards at Salesforce.com) and Loic Le Meur (founder of Seesmic and the annual Le Web conference), our Head of Developer Relations, Sarah-Jane, if accepted, will be discussing the future of email in a panel cleverly titled “How we Killed off Email (as we know it)”. Our pitch is a bit of a tongue in cheek look at the theoretical “death of email” 6 months from now, and what technologies have surfaced to replace it. Kevin and Loic will argue that streaming technologies such as Twitter, Google +, and Chatter will replace email, and Sarah-Jane will argue that while the inbox as we know it should probably die a long and painful death, the technologies that enable email data exchanges are ubiquitous and are ripe for innovation through the evolution of APIs such as Context.IO.
Please, please vote as much as you can (and spread the word!) between now and September 2nd. Voting happens here: http://panelpicker.sxsw.com/ideas/view/10573

Taking the Stage at SF New Tech’s “Bring on the APIs” on Sept. 7th
We’re also excited to announce that we’ll be taking the stage at SF New Tech’s “Bring on the APIs” event on September 7th, hosted by our friends at Viadeo. Along with APIs from Salesforce, Klout, 3Scale, Gigya, SimplyHired and more, we’ll be demoing v2.0 of Context.IO. If you’re in the Bay Area, we’d love to see you! There’s even talk of a possible Scoble appearance, so don’t miss out. Details and registration can be found at http://bringontheapis.eventbrite.com.
Demoing at Pitch San Francisco on Sept 8th
Hot off the heels of SF New Tech the night before, we’ll be spending Sept. 8th at AT&T Park demoing Context.IO, guzzling beer and nibbling hot dogs near first base at Pitch San Francisco. From 2-9 PM, we’ll be among +/- 100 startups demoing their solutions in an exhibition/table top setting to +/- 2000 attendees. We can’t wait! For more details, and to sign up, check out http://www.pitchevent.com.
GrowConf and HackVAN
Stay tuned for a series of feature posts for v2.0 of our API a little later this week.
