Tell us about Followup.cc. What does it do?
Seven years ago, Chris Keller founded FollowUp.cc when he realized that his own inbox was on overload and he was having trouble tracking prospects and clients for his own business development needs. He created a simple way to schedule tasks and reminders on any email client using email addresses. Since then FollowUp.cc has grown and added features, but the core service remains the same – providing users with an easy way to track and schedule tasks through email.
How does FollowUp.cc work?
FollowUp.cc allows users to embed reminders within emails by using the To, Cc and Bcc fields. Using intuitive language a user can create a timed email to return to a users inbox, eg. 1week@followup, firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com. The system also allows users to complete basic tasks from within an inbox, such as file attachments, create events in a calendar, and organize emails with tagging.
What led you to integrate Context.IO?
The ultimate goal at FollowUp.cc is to help users manage their inbox — Context.io has helped us speed up development and bring to life features in weeks instead of months. We are really excited to continue development using the Context.io API.
How was your experience working with the API?
Tony has been incredibly helpful. We had a few road bumps when we were getting started, but the support staff was awesome and the integration came together in half the time we had budgeted.
